My passion for personal finance has grown over the past 10 years to the point that I left the science industry to pursue my dream of becoming a financial advisor. I completed an MBA with a finance concentration in the fall of 2015 in order to legitimize my knowledge and passion for personal finance. Given my academic and professional background in science, I have grown my aptitudes for research, problem-solving, and anticipating and planning for risk.
I am a life-long learner, with an undying desire to improve my knowledge and skill set. I have the heart of a teacher and seek opportunities to use my knowledge to guide others through the complexities of the financial markets, tax, and retirement planning. Within financial planning, tax planning is a strength, after completing tax returns for a season at Jackson Hewitt. Finding tax saving opportunities in clients' 1040s is one of the many highlights of my day. The opportunity to daily use the strengths that I have been blessed with to improve lives makes it a joy to wake up every morning.
I reside in Rockford, near Cannonsburg, with my beautiful wife of 6 years, Bethany, and our two adorable children. We attend Rockford Resurrection Life Church and volunteer with the Middle School Ignite Youth Ministry.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family discussing the state of the world, politics, science, personal finance, and economics. I enjoy all athletic activities and have a helplessly competitive spirit. I love all things basketball, especially playing and following the Detroit Pistons' long journey back to relevance. I also enjoy spending time outdoors.
